The refund conditions for NSB season tickets does not apply to season tickets from other tariff areas such as Ruter, Kolumbus,
Skyss or equivalent. These companies have their own refund conditions.
NSB season tickets can be refunded in the event of sickness, on condition that the ticket holder has proof of being on full,
certified sick leave for at least 7 days. For a refund of an annual season ticket, a full, certified sick leave for at least
2 months needs to be presented. A fee is charged for this service. Printed tickets must be submitted together with a formal
sickness absence certificate to one of NSB's manned stations. The documents may also be sent to NSB's Service Centre, 0048
OSLO. Compensation is calculated from the first day of sickness until the season ticket's expiry date.
A valid season ticket consists of two parts: a photo ID card and the season ticket itself You show these onboard the train.
Season tickets are personal to you and are valid for journeys on NSB's trains. Any seat reservations and supplements are not
covered by the season ticket. If you travel using an electronic ticket, you will have just a travel card.
Electronic season tickets can be refunded on application to a manned NSB station. In this case, you need to show your electronic
travel card and sickness absence certificate. Compensation is calculated from the first day of sickness for the duration of
the sick leave.
The season ticket number must be stated and the sickness absence certificate sent as an attachment. The sickness absence certificate
and card number can also be sent by post to: NSB Service Centre, 0048 OSLO.
Annual (12-monthly) season tickets are not valid on local journeys within Oslo and Akershus (Ruter fares) or other companies'
services for the time being. Depending on feedback and annual season ticket sales, we will be evaluating introducing this
type of ticket permanently, as well as the possibility of transfer to Ruter services in Oslo and Akershus.
In the event of death, the unused section of 30-day tickets or the travel card should be handed to a manned station or sent
to the NSB Service Centre, 0048 OSLO. Flexible 7-day tickets are not refundable once used.
