The Bergen Railway

The Bergen Railway between Oslo and Bergen is considered one of the world’s most scenic train rides. There are four daily departures from Oslo and Bergen The 7 hour journey brings you across one of Europe’s highest mountain plateaus, and takes you to through spectacular and varied nature. At Myrdal you can take a detour with the famous Flam Railway.

The Bergen railway is a comfortable and easy way to travel. Flåm Railway

From Myrdal you can take the popular Flåm Railway down a 20 km long side track to Flåm. The Flåm Railway is one of the world’s steepest railway journeys on a natural track, and takes you through spectuacular scenery down the steep mountain trails from Myrdal to the village of Flåm by the Aurland fjord. Finse and Rallarvegen (The navies Road)

At Finse you can visit Rallarvegen (the old navvies' road) and see the Hardangerjøkulen glacier. Rallarvegen is one of Norway’s most popular and scenic cycling routes. You can rent bikes at Finse station or bring your own on the train. Read more about Rallarvegen.

Take the “ski train” to the slopes  

The Bergen Railway is the easiest way to get to popular skiing destinations like Geilo, Gol, Ål and Voss.
