Hafjell Alpine Centre
The trademark of Hafjell is long runs, excellent snow and a sunny climate. Its 15 ski lifts, including a gondola lift, run the 835 vertical metres from the base to the top of the mountain. Snow-making facilities assist the weather to produce good conditions and cover about 80% of the total terrain. A normal season usually starts in mid-November and ends in late April. Six ski in/ski out restaurants are located on the slopes. The guest service at the base offers a warm welcome and assists visitors in making ski school reservations, arranging childcare and ski rental as well as providing any additional information required.
Hafjell Alpine Centre is the third biggest resort in Norway, but the number one choice for those who prefer twin-tip skis or snowboards. The resort also boasts the most extensive floodlight system in Norway, illuminating 7 km of runs and prolonging ski activity 3 nights a week. The floodlights also permit other non-ski activities to take place at night, such as tobogganing and snowmobiling for kids.
