Dogs and other small pets are warmly welcome on board all NSB's trains. You are responsible for getting the dog on and off the train and ensuring that your pet remains in the compartment during the journey.

- Please make sure the dog remains on a leash throughout the journey. Dogs and other pets may not be taken into sleeping compartments, dining cars, or disabled/children’s coaches.
Guide dogs
Guide dogs accompanying blind passengers and trainee guide dogs always travel free on NSB’s trains when on service (in other words, when they are fitted with a harness and a hand grip for the blind passenger). Other pets with a shoulder height of less than 40 cm also travel free.
NB! Ruter charge a child’s fare for a dog, whatever its size, in the counties of Oslo and Akershus. The number of seats will vary according to the rolling stock/train used.
