NSB Gjøvikbanen AS operates the trains on the Gjøvik line under a 10-year contract with the Ministry of Transport and Communications, which is valid until 2016.

Satisfied customers

We conducted a customer satisfaction survey among passengers on the Gjøvik line in spring, which makes for very encouraging reading. The figures show a substantial improvement over a year. On the Skøyen-Jaren route, a score of 72 points was achieved. This is on a par with the score last autumn and an impressive 12 points up for the whole year. Oslo-Gjøvik scored 74, compared with 72 last autumn, with its annual score six points higher. (Scores over 70 are considered good and over 75 very good.)

Bicycles on the Gjøvik line

The trains don’t stop at Stryken station in the summer half of the year. * Each train on the Gjøvik line can accommodate a maximum of 12 bicycles. If you want to take your bike on Saturdays or Sundays before 14.00, you must reserve a space on the train at Oslo Central Station or by phoning 815 00 888. On Saturdays and Sundays after 14.00 and on weekdays, you can buy a bicycle space from the conductor on the train.

* In the winter half of the year, the train stops at Stryken on two morning departures and on Sundays.
